Guesthouse in Masuria

Go out into nature

Untouched nature, green forests and meadows, deep blue lakes, cranes and storks as far as the eye can see. This is our Masuria.

Masuria (Polish: Mazury) is a region of what was once East Prussia and forms the largest lakeland landscape in Poland. Our property is located in the area known as ‘hilly Masuria’ or ‘Masurian Switzerland’. The landscape is made up of lakes, forests, hills and meadows. There is a large amount of wildlife here, and not just in the nature reserves. Puszcza Borecka, or Borecka Forest, is around eight kilometres away and is home to bison, wolves, deer, roe deer and all the other animal species that feel at home in the untouched wilderness. The nearest shops are in the district town of Kruklanki, around seven kilometres away.

Gizycko, with a population of around 33,000, is around 20 kilometres away. If you want to explore the old East Prussian areas of Königsberg, Tilsit and the Curonian Spit, you can cross the border, which is around 40 kilometres away, with a day visa and visit the Kaliningrad Oblast enclave.
